WHAT'S EXPECTED OF CAMPERS:

All campers must agree to, and abide by, the Exemplar Code of Conduct or they will forfeit their opportunity to participate in Camp Exemplar

at Town Creek Baptist.

EXEMPLAR CODE OF CONDUCT

  1. RESPECT:  CAMPERS ARE TO RESPECT OTHER CAMPERS AND STAFF MEMBERS. THIS INCLUDES THE PERSONAL ITEMS THAT THEY BRING (1 PETER 2:17). CAMPERS MUST BE RESPECTFUL IN THEIR EXPRESSION THROUGH APPAREL, LANGUAGE, GESTURES, AND WRITING. WHEN CAMPERS ARE WITH CAMP AWAY FROM TOWN CREEK, THEY ARE TO BE RESPECTFUL OF THE BUSINESSES, PARKS, AND OTHER LOCATIONS THAT ARE VISITED. THEY ARE NOT TO CAUSE DAMAGE TO ANY AND ALL PROPERTY AND MUST INTERACT WITH THOSE WHO WE ARE A GUEST WITH RESPECTFUL LANGUAGE AND GOOD MANNERS. 

  2. LOVE:  TREAT OTHERS AS YOU WOULD WANT TO BE TREATED (LUKE 6:23). BULLYING OR ABUSE, IN ANY FORM, IS GROUNDS FOR DISMISSAL FROM CAMP FOR THE REST OF THE SUMMER. BULLYING AND ABUSE IS CONSIDERED TO BE PHYSICAL, EMOTIONAL, OR BOTH. WE WANT CAMPERS TO LOVE EACH OTHER! THEY ARE TO DO SO WITH RESPECT TO FELLOW CAMPERS PERSONAL SPACE AND BOUNDARIES.

  3. PURITY
    POSSESSION OF OR USE OF DRUGS OR CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES (THIS INCLUDES IMPROPER USE, OR POSSESSION OF, ANY PRESCRIPTION OR NON-PRESCRIPTION DRUGS: ALCOHOL, OR TOBACCO PRODUCTS). ENGAGING IN SUCH THINGS WILL BE GROUNDS FOR DISMISSAL. (1 CORINTHIANS 6:19-20)
    CAMPERS MUST BE PURE IN THEIR EXPRESSION THROUGH APPAREL, LANGUAGE, GESTURES, AND WRITING. CONTINUED USE OF INAPPROPRIATE OR OFFENSIVE LANGUAGE IS GROUNDS FOR DISMISSAL.

  4. OBEY:  CAMPERS MUST OBEY ALL INSTRUCTIONS GIVEN BY EXEMPLAR GUIDES, EXEMPLAR CAMP DIRECTOR, AND TOWN CREEK BAPTIST CHURCH STAFF. IF, FOR ANY REASON, A CAMPER FEELS UNCOMFORTABLE WITH AN INSTRUCTION, HER OR SHE MAY ASK THE EXEMPLAR DIRECTOR FOR CLARITY. A CAMPER'S SAFETY DEPENDS ON HOW WELL THEY CAN LISTEN AND FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS THROUGHOUT CAMP. IF A CAMPER STRUGGLES TO FOLLOW THIS CODE, THEY WILL BE DISMISSED FROM CAMP. (HEBREWS 13:17)
